Hargreaves Land has appointed a new project manager to help the firm deliver its growing number of development projects.
Alex Edwards has joined the team and will work alongside Scott Waite, the firm’s head of project management.
An experienced quantity surveyor and graduate of Northumbria University, Edwards joins the Durham-headquartered firm with 18 years’ experience in the construction sector, following roles at AA Projects, Faithful and Gould and Big Lottery Fund.
Alex is assisting the property team on major developments at Westfield, Fife and Blindwells in East Lothian, as well as delivering a number of additional projects across the Hargreaves Land portfolio. Alex is based at the firm’s Durham office.
Iain Slater, development and estates director said: “We are delighted to welcome Alex to Hargreaves Land and I am sure he will be excellent addition to our team. We have a number of exciting new schemes where we are making rapid progress in securing planning consents and attracting interest from housebuilders and commercial occupiers. The outlook is positive, so it is essential that we have the professional capacity to deliver schemes, as well as continuing to work on identifying and securing new opportunities.”
