A delegation from Heathrow Airport recently visited two of Hargreaves Land’s key development sites, both of which have been placed on the longlist of 65 potential construction centres to support the airport’s expansion.
The delegations visited the former Maltby Colliery in Rotherham, where Hargreaves is developing an 80-acre business and energy park. They also visited the Westfield site in Fife which is the largest brownfield site in Scotland.
During each visit, the Hargreaves Land team was able to demonstrate the strengths of the proposed site. It is understood that the delegation will visit all of the longlisted locations in the first half of 2018, assessing their suitability before putting any successful bids through to the next round.
