Hargreaves Land is seeking planning for a residential development on a 9-acre site located at the eastern edge of the village of Halstead near Braintree in Essex. 

A brook runs through the middle of the site which is enclosed on all four sides by existing landscape features including hedge-lines.

Hargreaves Land has worked closely with Braintree District Council in order to secure a residential allocation for the site within the draft Local Plan and we are currently preparing a planning application for development of the site. 

Our aim is to create around 66 new homes along with road improvements and the opening up of the brook to public access. There will be a mix of dwelling types including affordable and starter homes, with the final mix to be agreed with Braintree District Council to meet local needs.

A new footbridge will give access to an open space alongside the brook which will include a play area for toddlers and younger children.
