Last month we were very pleased to help support a fantastic Christmas charitable initiative in the town of Stainforth, South Yorkshire.
Stainforth4ALL is a local charity which employs four hard-working staff and a dedicated team of volunteers working on a variety of charitable projects. The team strive to improve people’s lives, regenerate the community and raise local aspirations.
In the run up to Christmas the charity supported elderly and vulnerable residents in the town by providing Christmas dinners within the local community centre as well as delivering around 100 meals to residents at home.
Andrew Johnson, head of asset management at Hargreaves Land, said: “Hargreaves Land has a longstanding association with Stainforth and we are delighted to be able to support the Christmas Meal initiative. The team at Stainforth4ALL provide vital support for the community and we are pleased to play our part in supporting their tremendous work.”
Phil Bedford of Stainforth4ALL said: “We ran a similar event in 2020 in partnership with a local foodbank and the level of demand within the community really surprised us. This year, although the pandemic has eased, many people who rely on benefits are in a worse situation due to welfare reduction and mounting inflation, so we wanted to help out again.”
