New Regional Director for Scotland

Hargreaves Land is very pleased to announce the promotion of Phil Rayson who has taken up the position of Regional Director in Scotland.

Phil originally joined Hargreaves in 2014 and was initially engaged in the management and development of surface coal mines. More recently he has taken on responsibility for the preparation of redevelopment strategies for Hargreaves Land’s diverse Scottish property portfolio which includes restored mining sites, brownfield, agricultural and forestry land.

Phil now leads the Scottish Team which is based in the Glasgow, taking a lead role on the Westfield and Conexus developments whilst seeking new opportunities for acquisition and development. The Scotland team includes Kerr Smith (Development Manager), Ross MacDonald (Development Surveyor) and Fiona Robb (CAD Technician).

Commenting on his new position, Phil said: “I am delighted to take on the role of Regional Director and continue the expansion of Hargreaves Land’s interests in Scotland. We have an excellent team in place and currently working on a number of significant projects which will enable us to have a long-lasting and positive impact in Scotland.”

David Anderson, group property director at Hargreaves Land, added: “Phil has been a vital member of our team for many years and I am delighted that he has taken up the role of Regional Director.

“Phil will oversee our strategic developments in Scotland and lead the search for new opportunities through strategic land acquisitions and joint ventures. This also includes overseeing our renewable energy portfolio and assisting with disposal of non-strategic assets. I wish Phil the very best of luck in his new role.”
