Avant Homes has agreed to purchase 20 acres for housing development at Blindwells from master developer Hargreaves Land.
Avant is proposing 240 private and 102 affordable new homes, incorporating a mix of two, three, four and five bedroomed properties. The site, known as Plot 5, extends to 8.26 ha (20.42 acres), occupies a prominent raised position within the Blindwells development, with views over the Firth of Forth.
Work is anticipated to start on site in January with the first occupations expected summer 2024.
Over 120 families have already made the move to Blindwells where outline planning consent has been secured for 1,600 new homes. Schemes have already been delivered by Bellway, Persimmon and Cruden, with Ogilvie Homes currently working on its Winton Park development which comprises of 77 new homes.
This summer Hargreaves Land will be seeking planning consent for the Town Centre element of the Blindwells development, to include business space, new shops, care and wellbeing amenities, community facilities, restaurant, and additional residential properties.
